POCKET CONTENTS OF A BOY

My boy is a collector.

My son collects EVERYTHING from rubber bands to buttons to used band-aids (YUCK). I know this because I find his treasured collectings in my washer and dryer. Yes, I know I should empty his pockets before I wash them, but really, who has time for that? Plus, it is kind of scary reaching into the dirty dark depths of his pockets.

Because I am inspired to draw from life, I decided to illustrate his collection of goods. Here is just a snippet of the drawings . The final piece of art will be a grided out collection of some of our favorite findings. It will be painted on a18x24 piece of cotton paper. I’ll be sure to share once it’s done, so stay tuned!

What is the most unusual thing you have found in your laundry machine?
